Fantastic fare and friendly service!

We had a group of nine at 8:00 on a Friday night. We were all from out of town, we were attending calling hours in Ovid. The people were super friendly and the service was top notch.

We were a table of 6 and had excellent service! The food was delicious. We ordered the salmon, haddock, shrimp, scallops, clam strips, a salad, and a burger, and everything was cooked perfectly! The cheesecake and brownie sundae for dessert hit the spot. Highly recommend this restaurant!

I had a bacon burger and it was great. Fresh ground, not the preformed patties. Waitress was great. Deffinately recommend this place.

Delightful dining experience. We frequent this establishment because the food is good, prices are decent & the staff and crowd is always inviting.

Don't expect much in the way of décor, but this is a fine "tavern style" neighborhood restaurant. Specials for the night included a haddock filet done either Cajun or pepper/lemon style. I had the pepper/lemon & it was a very good tasting piece of fish.....fried onion rings & sweet potato fries were also very good. Wife had a large salad with sliced steak which she enjoyed very much. The other couple with us also enjoyed their meals; service was very good; there's a good selection of local wines & beer from the full bar; & very reasonable prices. Not much else in town, but you won't be disappointed at the Buck.

Food is good. Service is great. The 1950s music on the sound system is too old for most of us. It would be better just to play some elevator music.

I would give six stars if there was an option for it, alas. I can’t decide what to glow about first. The food is absolutely amazing. It was to die for. The service was impeccable and the food was brought swiftly. I highly recommend The Golden Buck to anyone looking for a fantastic place to eat.

What a great place. Our second year coming here for the football game.. Makes us feel like we are at home!!!
